THE 9TH CONGRESS OF THE GRASSROOTS TRADE UNION OF SAO MAI GROUP, TERM 2025–2030: NEW ASPIRATIONS – NEW HEIGHTS FOR THE SAO MAI WORKFORCE

In the joyful atmosphere of the emulation movement to achieve merits welcoming Trade Union Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress; the Grassroots Trade Union of Sao Mai Group solemnly held the 9th Congress of Delegates, term 2025–2030 – a significant milestone affirming the role, position, and spirit of democracy and solidarity of the entire Group's workforce.

The Congress officially commenced with a solemn flag-saluting ceremony. As the National Anthem and the song "Let’s Sing the Trade Union Song" echoed, national pride was awakened, forging a sense of responsibility and awareness of the mission of each official and union member towards the Fatherland and the community.

This was not merely an opening ritual, but a call to the spirit of dedication and the aspiration to rise up of Sao Mai workers in the new era.

The presence of representatives from the leadership of the An Giang Provincial Confederation of Labor, the Group's leadership, and 120 outstanding delegates created a solemn atmosphere, demonstrating the profound interest and expectations placed on the Grassroots Trade Union in the new term.

During the 2023–2025 term, the Grassroots Trade Union of Sao Mai Group successfully fulfilled its role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Many practical activities were implemented:

- Accompanying union members in daily life, employment, and social welfare.

- Organizing meaningful emulation movements, encouraging creativity in labor.

- Strengthening dialogue, building a civilized and united working environment.

- Focusing on propaganda, political education, and studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.

Consequently, Trade Union activities have developed strongly in both depth and scale, becoming a solid spiritual support for workers throughout the system.

Delegates engaged in lively discussions, contributing numerous opinions to the Summary Report for the 2023–2025 period, directions for the 2025–2030 term, and draft documents for input to the An Giang Provincial Trade Union Congress.

The spirit of democracy, frankness, and constructiveness painted a comprehensive picture of achievements, limitations, and solutions to lead the Grassroots Trade Union into the new term with a proactive, creative, and strongly innovative mindset.

The most critical agenda of the Congress was electing the Executive Committee of the Sao Mai Group Grassroots Trade Union, Term IX (2025–2030), along with the delegation attending the 1st An Giang Provincial Trade Union Congress (Term 2025–2030).

The election process was conducted by secret ballot, ensuring democracy, transparency, and compliance with the Charter. The Vote Counting Committee announced the results amidst a joyful atmosphere, reflecting the high confidence of union members in Trade Union officials possessing sufficient capacity, qualities, and dedication.

Immediately after, the new Executive Committee held its first session to elect key positions: The Standing Committee, Chairperson, Vice Chairperson of the Grassroots Trade Union; The Inspection Committee, and Head of the Inspection Committee, completing the Trade Union leadership apparatus for the new term. This team represents the intellect, bravery, and innovative spirit of the Trade Union organization in the new development phase.

The Congress unanimously set out several key objectives:

1. Better care for the material and spiritual life of union members.
2. Innovating content and methods of operation, promoting digital transformation in Trade Union management.
3. Promoting the power of solidarity, strengthening dialogue, and building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.
4. Improving the quality of emulation movements, aligning with the Group's development strategy.
5. Developing a team of Trade Union officials with capacity, responsibility, and bravery.

These goals affirm the determination to build the Grassroots Trade Union of Sao Mai Group into a strong, modern, friendly organization that is always oriented towards its workers.

In the closing speech, the Presidium emphasized: The success of the 9th Congress is a convergence of the spirit of solidarity, collective wisdom, and the aspiration to rise up of all Sao Mai workers.
The Resolution of the Congress, passed with 100% consensus, is clear proof of the determination to take action in the new term.

The Congress calls upon all union members to continue accompanying the new Executive Committee, striving for creativity, overcoming challenges, and contributing to the sustainable, modern, and humane development of Sao Mai Group.

The 9th Congress of the Grassroots Trade Union of Sao Mai Group, term 2025–2030, has concluded with many significant impressions, opening a new journey where every official and union member is inspired, instilled with faith and motivation to collectively write the next chapter of the strong development of the Trade Union organization and the entire Group.
